For Jon Denby, a career in technology was never just a job—it’s been a lifelong passion rooted in curiosity, creativity, and a drive to solve problems. From his early days experimenting with computers and video games to becoming the leader of Klik Solution’s Remote Support team, Jon’s journey speaks to the importance of hard work, adaptability, and the joy of learning.

The Early Spark

Jon’s love for technology began at home, watching his dad play video games on a computer. “It grew from there,” Jon explains. “I spent my free time growing up messing around with computers and video games and took programming classes in high school.”

Those classes proved pivotal, opening his eyes to the potential of a tech career. In college, Jon double-majored in Computer Science and Math, taking a part-time job at the campus IT department. “That experience working at the help desk made me want to pursue it further after graduating,” he shares.

A Career Built on Growth

Jon’s career is defined by steady growth and meaningful milestones. His early jobs gave him foundational experience and the opportunity to earn key certifications, but it’s his 6.5 years at Klik Solutions that have been especially transformative.

“Working at Klik has helped me grow my skills immensely,” he says. “I’ve supported so many different companies, and I’ve gone from being a member of the support team to leading it.”

As the leader of Klik’s Remote Support team, Jon now oversees ticket management to ensure customer needs are met while also mentoring his team members. “Helping my team grow in their roles is one of the most rewarding parts of my job,” he says.

Pioneering New Approaches

One of Jon’s most exciting current projects involves leveraging analytics to improve how his team handles tickets and monitors performance. “Being able to shape how our team functions and knowing that I’m a driving force behind that is very exciting,” he says.

Jon also points to his knack for solving tough challenges as a source of pride. In a previous role, he worked on a government project to transition a site’s endpoints from static IPs to DHCP. When unexpected issues arose, Jon created a program to capture and analyze network data, helping the team complete the project ahead of schedule.

Keys to Success

Jon credits much of his success to skills like flexibility and problem-solving. “Things are constantly changing in technology,” he explains. “Being able to adapt to that change and effectively use advancements to resolve problems is essential.”

He also emphasizes the importance of collaboration and tools. “Our knowledge base and ticket system are a treasure trove of information,” he says. “You can’t remember everything, but having resources to search for what you need is invaluable.”

Making an Impact and Earning Recognition

For Jon, the most fulfilling moments in his career come from helping others. “Working with someone directly, making a connection, and resolving their issue is the most satisfying part of my job,” he says. His dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed—he’s been named Tech of the Month multiple times at Klik, thanks to glowing customer feedback.

A Mentor’s Influence

Jon attributes much of his success to early mentorship. While working at the help desk in college, his manager recognized his potential and invested in his growth. “He worked with me directly to build my skills and helped shape me into the technician I am today,” Jon reflects. That experience now informs how he leads his own team, providing the same encouragement and guidance to his colleagues.

Advice for Aspiring Technologists

To those considering a career in tech, Jon offers a mix of practical and personal advice–


“There are so many resources online to learn about any facet of technology you’re interested in. Take advantage of that, but also leverage social media and tech events to meet mentors and potential employers. And most importantly, never stop learning—and never stop having fun with what you’re doing.”

Jon’s story is one of growth, curiosity, and a deep commitment to his craft. From solving complex technical challenges to shaping the future of Klik’s Remote Support team, he’s made a lasting impact in his field.
